About the idea
SaudiMCP
An MCP server that answers Saudi-specific questions with cited, expert-vetted sources.
01The main idea
- An MCP server that gives any AI agent vetted Saudi context: labor law, school calendars, holidays, Hijri dates and government procedures.
- Every answer carries its source, drawn from official Saudi domains such as hrsd.gov.sa, moh.gov.sa and moe.gov.sa.
- Answers are re-checked every week, and stale ones are pulled.
- This site is the proof of concept: it tests demand with use cases, a freemium pricing table and a waitlist, while the MCP endpoint is listed as coming soon.
02The spark
Started on 2026-05-14
Build the PoC marketing site that proves the freemium business idea for a vetted-Saudi-context MCP service, Cloudflare-deploy-ready, mobile-first, bilingual EN/AR, with a stub /mcp endpoint so it can be listed on mcpservers.org.
- The observation: generic assistants miss Saudi-specific questions, returning last year's school dates or making one up.
- Three audiences were framed from the start: families, employees and students, each with concrete before-and-after examples.
- On 2026-07-03 the Knowledge Workbench started building the verified knowledge model this endpoint would serve.
03Target audience
- Families asking about school calendars, holidays, vaccination schedules and Absher procedures.
- Employees asking about labor-law entitlements such as annual leave.
- Students preparing for Qiyas requirements and scholarships.
- Developers adding Saudi context to Claude Desktop, Cursor or Cline with a copy-paste config.
04The value
- Answers an agent can cite, each linked to the official page it came from.
- One endpoint covering the public information of several ministries.
- Weekly re-checks keep answers current.
- Freemium pricing: a free tier to try it, paid tiers for heavier use.

Layer

| Flow of money or records | 1 of 2 | Owns the modeled records; money does not flow through it yet. |
| Others can build on it | 2 of 2 | API-first for agents: MCP is the surface others build on. |
| Network effect | 1 of 2 | A shared reference gains weight as more agents cite it. |
| Upstream, fast-deciding customer | 2 of 2 | Agent builders decide fast and need grounding from day one. |
| Better for the customer | 2 of 2 | No vetted Saudi-context endpoint exists today. |
- Suggested next move: Get one paying agent
- Reason: Vetted Saudi context served to agents over MCP, with the Workbench building the claim model behind it. API-first for agents is the essay's explicit advice, no vetted Saudi-context endpoint exists, and it can propose the standard. The most power-shaped thing already running.
